Il Manager HSE programma ogni giorno l’attività per il giorno successivo sulla base di un “Piano” ben definito ma, immancabilmente, si trova ad affrontare una serie di imprevisti che mettono a dura prova la sua capacità organizzativa.
Il Manager HSE gestisce le circostanze che si vengono a creare quotidianamente in materia HSE ma è consapevole che anche scendere in campo con la sua squadra ed essere operativo è fondamentale per essere l’esempio positivo da seguire.
Il Manager HSE è importante che nel suo lavoro perseveri nella volontà di fare le cose e aspetti il momento giusto per agire. A volte è fondamentale rallentare o fare un passo indietro per valutare gli sviluppi futuri di determinate azioni e successivamente accelerare e andare dritti all’obiettivo.
Il Manager HSE quando decide di cominciare il percorso di crescita culturale HSE dell’azienda deve andare fino in fondo nelle sue attività se vuole veramente vedere i risultati del suo fare bene le cose e creare un vero legame di credibilità con tutti.
Il Manager HSE non deve perdere tempo a giudicare gli altri ma deve credere nel proprio percorso perché solo così riuscirà a raggiungere il proprio obiettivo.
Il Manager HSE deve imparare a coltivare le sue attività volte a far crescere la cultura di sicurezza in azienda, non deve pensare che quello che fa lo fa perché gli viene dettato dalle norme ma deve spendere il tempo per fare quello che serve.
Il Manager HSE non deve rimandare a domani quello che può fare oggi perché domani potrebbe essere troppo tardi per salvare la vita a un collega.
Il Manager HSE deve circondarsi di persone positive e che stimolino la sua mente a produrre nuovi progetti e modi di lavorare efficaci ed efficienti.
Il Manager HSE nei confronti dell’organizzazione non deve scendere a compromessi che mettano in pericolo la salute, la sicurezza e gli aspetti ambientali della propria azienda ma deve mantenersi integro nelle sue decisioni per poter essere un leader di esempio da seguire.
Il Manager HSE deve poter tornare a casa la sera a testa alta avendo la consapevolezza di aver fatto tutto il possibile per tutelare la propria azienda e i colleghi così da poterlo raccontare serenamente alla sua famiglia.

Don’t put off until tomorrow what you can do today because tomorrow may be too late …
The HSE Manager schedules each day’s activity for the next day based on a well-defined “Plan” but, invariably, he is faced with a series of unforeseen events that challenge his organizational capacity.
The HSE Manager manages the circumstances that arise on a daily basis in HSE matters but is aware that getting out in the field with his team and being operational is also critical to being the positive example to follow.
It is important for the HSE Manager to persevere in his work to get things done and wait for the right time to act. Sometimes it is essential to slow down or take a step back to assess the future development of certain actions and then speed up and go straight to the goal.
The HSE Manager when he or she decides to begin the company’s HSE cultural growth journey must go all the way in his or her activities if he or she really wants to see the results of his or her doing things well and create a true bond of credibility with everyone.
The HSE Manager must not waste time judging others but must believe in his own path because only then will he be able to achieve his goal.
The HSE Manager must learn to cultivate his or her own activities aimed at growing the safety culture in the company; he or she must not think that what he or she does must be done because it is dictated to him or her by regulations but must spend the time to do what is needed.
The HSE Manager must not put off until tomorrow what he can do today because tomorrow may be too late to save the life of a colleague.
The HSE Manager must surround himself with people who are positive and who stimulate his mind to produce new projects and effective and efficient ways of working.
The HSE Manager vis-à-vis the organization must not make compromises that endanger the health, safety and environmental aspects of his or her company but must maintain integrity in his or her decisions in order to be a leader by example to follow.
The HSE Manager must be able to go home at night with his or her head held high having the knowledge that he or she has done everything possible to protect his or her company and colleagues so that he or she can tell his or her family peacefully.
